Wild Hogs

Moss Creek is a beautiful community and surrounded by natural space and heavily wooded areas. Many of us moved here because of these natural buffer areas and not wanting to be in a high-traffic, high-density community.

Along with our beautiful natural areas come a huge diversity of wildlife such as armadillos, raccoons, eagles, hawks, snakes, coyotes, and a variety of smaller animals. Unfortunately, we will also see some large wild hogs on occasion and of late, they have been very active in and around Moss Creek.

These wild hogs can be dangerous to our pets and to humans if approached, so we would ask every resident of Moss Creek to be attentive and aware when out and about in the community. Please do not enter the natural area which is common property as these hogs can be dangerous.

Please visit the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission at myfwc.com to learn more about these animals.

Sincerely,
The Moss Creek Board of Directors
